Environmental Consultant (Engineer), Michigan Certified UST Professional with over 28 years of experience dealing with various environmental issues throughout Michigan, the Midwest and Northeast United States. Mr. George is an experienced environmental manager with a well-diversified background in hazardous waste treatment, permitting, remediation, underground storage tanks (USTs) management, closure assessments, RCRA closure plans preparation and implementation, field operations (including construction), Phase I/II environmental assessments and Baseline Environmental Assessments (BEA’s) and audits (including ISO 14001), land reclamation, sludge management and asbestos surveys, in addition to business development, proposal and bid preparation.
Worked internationally with British Petroleum (UK), (BP’s) leadership team from 2009 through 2014 on developing integrating strategies between Iraq’s Southern Oil Company (SOC), Petro China staff and BP. Conducted Control of Work (CoW), Hazard Identification and Risk Task Assessment (HITRA) training for over 120 engineers and technicians in Edinburgh, Scotland. Worked as Technical Advisor for BP team on their project with the North Oil Company (NOC) to redevelop a portion of the Kirkuk Oil Field.
