Taylor Vergin is Staff Engineer for Environmental Resources Group. He graduated from Michigan Technological University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering and a Minor in Mining. Taylor has experience performing a wide variety of field tasks, including groundwater sampling, environmental and geotechnical soil sampling, landfill methane monitoring, excavation and construction oversight, aquifer pump tests, sub-slab vapor pin installation and sample collection, sub-slab depressurization system (SSDS) testing, air monitoring, and supervision of underground storage tank removals and closures. Taylor has written numerous reports following his field work, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), compliance monitoring reports, excavation reports, and many others.
In his free time, Taylor enjoys anything that allows him to get outside. His main interests include fly fishing, backpacking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing. He is also an avid mineral collector and has contributed some of his finds to the A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum collection in Houghton, MI. When forced to be inside, Taylor enjoys reading, playing video games, and relaxing with friends.
